How Wrong Numbers Can Improve Lives with Dr. Tim Baird
December 17, 2020
12-1 p.m.

Even with smartphones, calls from “wrong numbers” can get through. How do you handle them? If you’re like most people, you just say “Sorry, wrong number!” and hang up. But for Maasai pastoralists in East Africa, these random mistakes can be opportunities to connect with new people. This webinar will discuss how herders on the savanna are using wrong numbers to make new friends, gain valuable information, and develop their livelihoods.

There is no charge for attendance; however, we have provided an option to make a gift at check-out for those who would like to contribute. All gifts will benefit the Department of Geography Annual Fund (GEOG) Annual Fund.
