Join Joani Latimer, State Ombudsman, for an in-depth workshop on Long Term Care in Virginia. Joani will discuss the levels of care offered, which services are reimbursed at the state or federal level and how assisted living and nursing care providers are regulated in the Commonwealth. Participants will also learn how to best tour a retirement community and understand their latest survey and any deficiencies. Joani will additionally speak to the role of advocacy in the Ombudsman program and consumer rights in long term care.

Registration fee is $10 and includes continental breakfast and lunch. $5 of the fee is a gift to the Gerontology Annual Fund.
