Cornerstone Roanoke Big Event 2026

In the spirit of celebrating our Nation's 250th anniversary, come join us as we dedicate our annual service project to our veterans residing in the Star City! Our Big Event will be held at the Davis & McDaniel Veterans Care Center in Roanoke. The Corps of Cadets, Cornerstone Alumni, members of the New River Valley and Roanoke Valley Hokie Chapters, as well as friends of Virginia Tech are invited to participate.

We will be visiting with veterans residing in the facility's long-term care and memory care spaces. Big Event participants will present veterans with US flags & flowers (provided by Virginia Tech), smiles and plenty of lively conversations, thanking them for their service to the United States.

The event is free to attend, but if one so chooses, an optional gift can be made to the Commandant's Priorities Fund at Virginia Tech. This fund is used to support cadet activities and address needed programming at the Corps.
