Learn more about transportation safety and how the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute's research is helping to solve the world’s most pressing transportation problems!

 

Cost of this event is $10 which includes a $5 gift to the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute, appetizers, non-alcoholic beverages, and 1 beer ticket. 

 

Speakers will include: 

Charlie Klauer, Research Scientist and Leader of the Training Systems Group in the Division of Vehicle, Driver, & System Safety and Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering in the College of Engineering, specializing in distracted driving.

 

Andy Schaudt, Institute's Chief of Staff, Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Management in the Pamplin College of Business, focusing on pedestrian and cyclist safety.

 

Susan Soccolich, Senior Research Associate in the Division of Freight, Transit, & Heavy Vehicle Safety, working with the Share the Road program instructing high school driver’s education classes how to drive safely around big trucks.
