Join us for lunch and a lively discussion on Virginia’s Tech’s staff companion/service animals and the unique roles they play on our campus.
Guests will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with “Ringo”, Virginia Tech’s companion horse, his handler, Leslie Roberts Gregg ’79, and John Tarter, Resource Officer with the Virginia Tech Police Department. Cornerstone guests will also be introduced to “Derek”, Virginia Tech’s therapy dog and his handler, Trent Davis, Ph.D., LPC, from the Cook Counseling Center. Ringo and Derek serve in some pretty amazing roles throughout campus. Come meet these two staff members!
Registration is required. Cost is $10 to attend and includes lunch plus a $5 gift to Virginia Tech's Animal Assisted Therapy fund.
