Cornerstone Alumni Wowzitude Livestream Travel Program – March 2026

Are you ready for an exhilarating travel experience without leaving the comfort of your own home? Live-stream travel has become a game-changer for adventurers, caregivers, and travel enthusiasts alike. We're traveling to cities around the world without the hassle of passports, plane tickets and luggage!
The Virginia Tech Cornerstone Alumni program is excited to partner with Wowzitude to bring an innovative and unique virtual travel program. Make plans now to join us and other Hokies – travel around the world right from your own home! You will be able to join-in twice-weekly live-streamed guided walks. Each tour is led by passionate local story tellers.
Wowzitude was designed with the wanderlust traveler in mind. Led by professional tour guides who are local to the destination, each Wowzitude tour is live-streamed, unscripted, and unedited, making every tour a truly unique and authentic experience. Travelers can engage in stimulating conversations with their tour moderator using the 2-way chat feature, enriching their understanding of each destination, immersing themselves in insightful conversation, and making them feel as if they were there. Virtual travel opportunities not only offer life-long learners stimulating and inspiring content to engage with, but they also spark cherished memories. Wowzitude facilitates fully interactive cultural travel to 100+ destinations for older adults, people with disabilities AND ALL travel enthusiasts. By making travel more accessible and responsible, Wowzitude is improving accessibility, well-being, & quality of life through technology.
Participants can dive into upcoming tour destinations by accessing Wowzitude’s electronic travel kits. Virginia Tech Alumni Relations will send these tools prior to each tour. These meticulously curated travel kits include electronic resources such as local recipes, music, thematic snacks, maps, drinks, and book/movie recommendations to promote learning and exploration beyond the tour.
An individual link for each tour will be sent 24 hours prior to the event. Travelers can view re-watch tours at same link on-demand if missed livestream.
The registration fee of $10/month includes all sessions during the current month, as well as a $5 gift to the Study Abroad Scholarship Program. Participants will need to re-enroll at the start of EACH month.
