Join us for a special talk featuring Theodore (Ted) S. Rappaport, an internationally recognized pioneer in wireless communications and longtime member of the Virginia Tech ECE community.
Ted founded the Mobile and Portable Radio Research Group (MPRG), now part of Wireless @ Virginia Tech, and NYU WIRELESS. He is the David Lee/Ernst Weber Professor at NYU and holds chaired professorships spanning electrical and computer engineering, computer science, and medicine. He was also elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
In his talk, “The Miraculous Birth of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science,” Ted will explore the remarkable people, discoveries, and ingenuity that shaped EE and CS as we know them today.
