Ut Prosim in the Queen City
March 30, 2022
6:30-8 p.m. ET

Join the Charlotte Chapter for our first 2022 Ut Prosim in the Queen City virtual forum with local alumni.

Our panelists will be Jonathan Myers, Dean Cikins and Dr. Emily Cooper. All are Charlotte area Virginia Tech alumni and will discuss Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) which have a major impact on people’s health, well-being, and quality of life. All panelists are involved in the healthcare industry and serve, or have served, on industry boards.

Just promoting healthy choices won't eliminate health disparities such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity which lowers life expectancy. In conjunction with emphasizing healthy choices, public health organizations and their partners in sectors like education, transportation, and housing must take action to improve environmental conditions that can directly impact one’s health.

Join the conversation and learn firsthand from Dean, Jon and Emily, who are modeling the Virginia Tech motto, Ut Prosim (That I May Serve) by sharing valuable information about this important topic for the Queen City, surrounding areas, and society in general.

There is no charge for attendance; however, we have provided an option to make a gift at check-out for those who would like to contribute. All gifts will benefit the Charlotte Alumni Chapter Endowed Scholarship Fund.

Thank you for your interest in the Ut Prosim in the Queen City event. Online registration is closed, however, you may still register by emailing Katie Marquis at kmarquis@vt.edu.
