We’re closing off #NationalHispanicHeritageMonth by highlighting our Assistant Professor of Finance Dr. Yessenia Tellez! This year, we celebrated the theme “Undios: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation,” by the National Council of Hispanic Employment Program Managers (NCHEPM). Dr. Tellez, was born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua. She has lived in the United States for ten years and joined Pamplin College of Business in August 2021. Dr. Tellez shares how this year’s theme resonates with her as a native of a foreign country and working in a professional and international environment. She has learned that everyone is unique and comes from different cultures, religions, ethnicities, sexual orientations, abilitoes, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
