Heartland Heroes: A Veterans Day Tribute
Nov. 11, 2024
4 p.m.

Please join us as we honor Hokies who go above and beyond the call of duty to embody the spirit of Virginia Tech's motto, Ut Prosim (That I May Serve). Enjoy an exclusive screening of VPN PBS’ acclaimed docu-series, “Life in the Heartland,” featuring the inspiring story of Samuel Kennedy, a Pamplin student veteran and president of the Veterans@VT student organization.

Join us in person in Pamplin Hall, room 1045, or watch virtually.

This event celebrates the sacrifices and contributions of our veterans while fostering a deeper understanding of their experiences. Alongside Sammuel’s story, we will feature guest speakers sharing their insights and journeys within the veteran community.

Refreshments will be provided and attendees will receive a special edition Pamplin challenge coin to commemorate this day of recognition.

If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, please contact A'me Dalton at 540-231-7703 or email ababer3@vt.edu during regular business hours at least 10 business days prior to the event.

Don’t miss this meaningful evening filled with inspiring stories and connections!
